December was a busy month at Family House. Our Annual Wreath Auction was a success with 47 gorgeous wreaths donated and over $1,700 dollars raised. The generosity of donors was overwhelming with wish list items, dinner groups, and financial donations. Thanks to the Hagan’s Youth Ministry Group, the House was beautifully decorated for the season and we even had a visit from our very own Elf on the Shelf. Our staff grew by one with the addition of Senior Patient Family Liaison, Tina Weaver. Our volunteer team also grew. Our Board of Advisors held their quarterly meeting and welcomed new Board Chairperson Danielle Fortney and Chairperson Elect Kristi Crutch. Our guests celebrated Christmas with turkey and all the trimmings donated by Adrienne Crutch and served by members of the Tree of Life Congregation; and celebrated New Years with a Chinese buffet provided by Aly Goodwin-Gregg and her family.
As we say goodbye to 2018, we want to thank those who supported our Dinner Crew. More than 182 groups and individuals provided more than 11,000 meals to our guests. Click here to view the list of our 2018 Dinner Crew. We also want to thank our Adopt A Day Donors. In 2018, 68 days were adopted including 12 individual days and 8 weeks. Thanks to these generous donors, more than $11,000 was raised for our Care and Comfort Fund which helps families who are unable to pay their bills at RFH. Click here for a list of 2018 Adopt A Days.
